The perch stool is universally acknowledged as the perfect starting point for the aspiring chairmaker. Perch stools are highly functional, designed with a stable three legged base supporting a comfortable seat at desk height. The crafting of this stool will lead you through all the fundamental skills required in drilling and reaming, seat carving and undercarriage joinery. It also provides a wonderful introduction to woodturning.

Participants will leave with their very own beautiful and functional piece of furniture…and likely with a hankering to make more.
